 Summary Description:  At Heringer Estates, we are a small yet multi faceted farming and winery operation. We are looking for a multi-talented sales associate to promote and sell our wine at farmers markets, events, and off-site tastings. In reality, no one should have a single job description in a family operation so as we grow, the responsibilities will change, your many talents will be drawn upon to help the company succeed and your career path will follow suit.

Here are the immediate responsibilities:

• Sales: Responsible for selling wine and related products at multiple locations while educating our consumers about our region, brand, and product. Embrace our customers like FAMILY by consistently exceeding their expectations. Act as an ambassador for Heringer Estates winery, vineyards, and the Clarksburg region. Employ helpful non manipulative sales techniques which improve the customers experience and their impression of our company and product.
• Daily Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations; including effective preparation and timely arrival for set up at events and markets. Consistently deliver engaging experiences that exceeds expectations and delights our guests. Accountable for managing sales transactions, product inventories, restocking; data entry; order processing and shipment. Assists in exploring opportunities at additional Farmers Markets. Additionally performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Event support: From helping to get the word out, set up, take down, and working as a Heringer Team Member to ensure the event success.

We’re looking for someone of integrity who is flexible, smart, hard-working, resourceful, organized, detailed oriented, enthusiastic and has high ethical standards. You should be a fast learner who is comfortable multi-tasking in a consistently changing environment and a self-starter who is willing to identify a need and take action. You should also possess a positive, can- do attitude, and handle direct, concise and at times confidential communications (written and verbal) in a group environment. • Experience in retail; preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for customer service and commitment to promoting the winery's values and mission.

• Full Time: Minimum 30 hours a week
• Weekends and Evenings: hours and days will vary with markets and events
• Ability to attend evening meetings once a month and work special events

• Pay: Hourly dependent on experience w/ Sales commissions, bonuses and other benefits (like being a Heringer Team Member!)
