Papa Steve's Vineyard Update
Fall has turned to Winter in the vineyards and the very moderate weather in November and early December has allowed us to get a real jump on operations prior to wet weather. We have completed cutting Eutypa strikes which kills spurs and cordon from the Petite Sirah, and have given all vineyards a small post-harvest fertilizer boost for winter carryover. More significantly, we have been able to complete our fall vineyard soil preparation and have planted cover crops to the row centers of the vineyards. Cover crops of fescue grasses and clovers will incorporate nitrogen into the soil following spring incorporation.
Hand-crafted in small lots, our estate wines reflect the characteristics of the vineyard of origin and our passion to create premium wines to enrich and enhance your life. Due to limited quantities, our wines are only available through our tasting room, at local farmers' markets, and for purchase online.
We welcome Heringer Estates Wine Club members and non-members (Future Members) to special events at the winery or our home ranch throughout the year. All events celebrate our wine club family and are an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our loyal guests and share our love of wine.
