Heringer Wine Portfolio
Heringer wines are created with you in mind from the family vineyard estate in Clarksburg, Ca. Each wine is meticulously cared for from the grape to the glass by Vineyard Manager Stephen Heringer and Winemaker Mike Heringer. The family owned and operated vineyard and winery produces over 24 different wine varietals and multiple labels of 100% certified sustainable wines. Heringer Estates wines showcase of the Clarksburg Wine Country with high quality wine from a diverse family owned and sustainable vineyard.
Heringer Estates leading wine label with over 24 different varietal wines and blends. Wines in the Estate Label include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Petite Sirah, Teroldego, Moscato, and many more.
The Estate Label design is comprised of a Heringer windmill, in honor of the family’s Dutch heritage and the Heritage Barn overlooking a vineyard scene, representing dedication and love for the land.
On the back of the label you will find two panels held together with an owl on a vineyard vine. Owls help pest management in the vineyards and represent the importance of sustainability to preserve the land for future generations. On panels you can learn more about the family principles and review winemaker notes on aroma, body, and aging.
Our lives are woven together by threads of family and community. The Thread Collection is a charitable label that donates proceeds back to select organizations and non profits.
Heringer’s first Thread Collection wine honors the Heringer family’s commitment to the Clarksburg community. Each vintage of Purple Thread is a unique premium blend of heavy red varietal wines. Proceeds are donated to the Clarksburg Library, the Clarksburg Boy Scouts of America, and the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Hope’s Thread Rosé
The Hope’s Thread Rosé gives hope and strength to women everywhere. Proceeds from Hope’s Thread Rosé are donated to Lumps to Laughter a ministry that helps those that have suffered or have experienced loss from breast cancer.
The Embrace label was the first label of Heringer Estates and although the art work has been removed, the words remain on the Red Dessert port style wine in the current portfolio.
Beginning in 2002, the original Embrace label was a beautiful hand drawn design of two grape vines supporting each other. Like a family crest, the vines symbolize a deep-rooted message of family, legacy, strength, integrity and love. Although abstract, the design represents a man and woman embracing the love and strength of family.

The Row Series are personally selected by Winemaker Mike Heringer for varietal excellence and aging potential. When the vines first bud in the spring, each vintage is vineyard row designated and pampered with specific water and canopy management. At harvest, the Row Series wines are hand picked and aged in new oak barrels. Then the wines are bottled in heavy glass for extended aging.
The label expresses a gold windmill to symbolize the Heringer family’s Dutch heritage and a dedication to excellence. Each vintage is made from just a single row and are limited to 50 cases.
Many wine drinkers love aged wines, but in this modern day, who has time to wait? Mike Heringer has created the Barrel Collection for those that appreciate the finer things in life on a quick timeline.
These wines have been extensively aged in oak to give them the flavor profile and body of a 20 year old bottle of wine. Bottled in 1.5 magnum sizes to slow down the aging, these wines have been aged to their peak and are produced in 50 cases or less. These strong reds will have flavors of leather, wood, cedar, and oak with softer tannin and a bold body.
The Norton is America’s first wine grape variety originating in the Midwest of the United States. This wine grape is not a part of the Vitis vinifera wine grape family that we are used to from the old world and has a very different character and aroma than European varieties. Some Norton characteristics are rustic and has a body and texture similar to a sour beer. On the label the Norton is decorated in red, white, and blue to to honor our country and our land.
The newest members to the Heringer portfolio and quickly becoming the most popular. The estate canned wines are currently limited to the Moscato, Bubbly Rosé, Ecocask Red Blend, and Ecocask White Blend, but as the popularity grows so will the selection of wines available in a can!
