Brett Heyer has been bar tending at Grange Restaurant and Bar in downtown Sacramento for almost 7 years! He loves interacting with people, and using his creativity to incorporate local ingredients into his drinks. This year Heringer Estates has partnered with Brett to come up with some delicious wine cocktails to keep us cool and happy during these hot hot days, and sipping on deliciousness all year long!
Our first cocktail with Brett is the “Heringer Summer Blush” with Heringer Estates 2016 Chardonnay. This cocktail will delight in every way imaginable with it’s light silky texture, peachy sweetness, and opal basil spice. The tropical breezy flavors of the 2016 Chardonnay complement the California peaches giving the cocktail a brightness that is just as exciting as a pool party and as sophisticated as a summer gala. When asking Brett what makes this wine cocktail so spectacular he says, “you can taste all the ingredients, and everything in it is grown 10 miles or less from Sacramento, except the vodka. It’s simple, easy to make, and good!” Brett would pair this delicious summer delight with halibut or a summer tomato salad.
